• Is distance learning right for me?

  Distance learning works for different people in different places and at different times in their life and careers. The most popular reason our students give for choosing this way of studying is that it gives them the flexibility to fit their studies around their life, but there are a wide range of other benefits too.

• What will it be like?

  As a distance learner you’ll enjoy full individual support throughout your course, with a tutor on hand to advise, guide and provide feedback on your assessments. In addition to group tutorials, you can also contact your tutor online or by phone. You’ll have full access to our online resources and to our Campus libraries in Cambridge and Chelmsford, as well as at any other university library across the UK.

  You’ll also enjoy the support of your fellow students through online tutorials and forums designed to help enrich your learning experience. Some courses provide optional inductions and workshops, so you’ll also have the opportunity to meet with your fellow students and your course tutor.

• Where can I study?

  Choosing a distance learning course means you can study whenever and wherever you choose; whether that’s at home, at work or on the move. So if you’re juggling the realities of modern life and have family, work and other commitments, you can still fit your university education in.

• What support will I get?

  You’ll also have access to the same student support services as our campus based students, including Careers, Counselling, Student Money, Learning Support and Health services.

• How do I apply?

  It’s simple. Find your chosen course in the Course search list, then go to the course information page and click ‘Apply’. This will take you to the relevant online application form. If you have any queries please contact us.
