Paige Forster

Coaching for Performance in Football BSc (Hons)

Having top lecturers and mentors who are in the professional game at your disposal, really goes a long way for my development as a coach.

Paige has recently graduated with us at ARU and is Director of Coaching at Arlington Soccer Club, Massachusetts.

I chose this course as I wanted to further my knowledge and academic understanding of the game. Not just the playing aspect, but all the other components of today’s game.

Already I have noticed a difference in my coaching and ability to expand on the ‘why’ and the ‘how’ I coach a specific topic. I think professionally having a degree in my line of work will open up a lot of doors for my career, and personally it makes me more confident in what I am delivering.

The support offered is second to none. They are there 24/7 and really care about you needs.

Overcoming challenges

Trying to balance my full-time job with a full-time course is challenging. However, once I settled in to the course and got to grips with how it worked, it became a lot more manageable. Setting specific time and days to concentrate on my Uni work helped me become more organised.

It's very rewarding to know that the work I'm putting in and the amount I am learning is showing in my results.

Knowledge to build ideas and personal development

Being able to development my sessions and broaden my answers to my players is something that I feel I can now do because of this course. Having some top lecturers and mentors who are in the professional game at your disposal really goes a long way for my development as a coach.

Tips for students

I would suggest that you get organised and set aside two days per week to concentrate on your studies. This way you know your schedule and everyone else does.

Why ARU?

The support offered is second to none. They are there 24/7 and really care about you needs.

I would definitely recommend this course to others, it is packed full of useful topics and the tutors are fantastic. It is great for anyone interested in coaching, managing or playing.
