Mari Nadaraia

I am sure you will benefit from this course if you want to improve your knowledge and skills in the third sector management and provide effective support those in need.

International alumna, Mari reflects on building a flourishing non-profit foundation and studying with ARU to help support her dreams.

I have 10 years of work experience in private sector, and my desire was always to support the most marginalised and vulnerable people in my hometown.

In 2014 we established Believe Foundation, a Poti-based, non-profit organization dedicated to the improvement of the health, education and welfare of children in Poti, Georgia. At the same time I started to study the Cert HE Charity and Social Enterprise Management course at Anglia Ruskin University. I believe that you can do the most good and add value to the development of your community only through Education.

"In three years we've made fantastic progress increasing our awareness and changing the lives of over 100 people with special needs."

ARU students make a difference

As an international student I feel lucky to have chosen Anglia Ruskin University to study Charity and Social Enterprise Management. The lecturers have been very supportive and the content of the modules were extremely interesting.

The knowledge I have gained has allowed me to develop a non-profit organisation ‘Believe Foundation’ and help the community in my hometown – Poti, Georgia. In two years we have been able to increase the awareness and change the lives of over 100 people with special needs. ARU has enhanced my knowledge, confidence and skill set and, I surely wouldn’t have been able to achieve what I have achieved in Believe Foundation without being ARU student.

I would, without hesitation, recommend Anglia Ruskin University to anyone who’d like to make an effective contribution within the charity sector and make a difference #ARUProud.
