Professor Roy Sleator

The MBA introduced me to new concepts, ideas, and people; significantly broadening my network and sphere of influence.

Roy Sleator is a Professor of Biological Sciences in Cork, Ireland. He chose to study our Educational Leadership and Management MBA to significantly add value to his existing qualifications.

The MBA adds significant value to my existing, largely science, qualifications – the leadership and management skillset acquired during the MBA is invaluable in my current role.

I would recommend ARU in a heartbeat. The material is at the cutting edge, the tutors are at the top of their game, and the support is second to none.

Award winning skills to strengthen and develop your career

The MBA broadened and deepened my business acumen and honed my leadership and management skills, particularly in the areas of strategic thinking and strategic planning.

The MBA introduced me to new concepts, ideas, and people; significantly broadening my network and sphere of influence.

The semi-industrial PhD model, developed during my MBA has had a significant impact on my approach to PhD training – facilitating greater industry/academic partnerships; enabling greater research impact and excellence. For this work I was awarded the ARU Alumni Public Service Award 2022.

World-class support

The transition from the quantitative mindset of a scientist to a more qualitative approach was particularly challenging. However, this was significantly eased by the support of the excellent teaching staff.

The support offered by ARU was EXCELLENT! I have graduated from four difference Universities – ARU was, by far, the best in terms of student support.

The online facilities were world-class, everything I needed was at my finger tips.

Tips for students

What are you waiting for?

All of my assignments were based on my day-to-day activities; in essence, my job became the focus of my leadership and management studies, so if it helps then marry the two.

Try and make your graduation. It was an excellent day out in the heart of Cambridge, with all the pomp and ceremony that you would expect.

Why ARU?

The material is at the cutting edge, the tutors are at the top of their game, and the support is second to none.

Signing up for the MBA is one of the best decisions I've made in a long time!
