Teniola Stuffman

Distance learning gives me the flexibility I need to fit everything in, as well as being really good value.

With a background in science Teniola wanted to develop her commercial, business negotiation and management skills to compliment her new Business development role.

I’m a mum to 3 small children, and I travel a lot internationally with work. Distance learning gives me the flexibility I need to fit everything in, as well as being really good value. It has given me the opportunity to study in an open, relaxed and flexible environment.

My employer is impressed with the impact I’ve had in the business and wants me to go on to do more.

Discovering your strength

The course has taught me so much in leadership and management, particularly influencing and teamwork. I work for a family business and have been able to implement so many changes already.

I’ve developed my project management, negotiation and team skills. It’s been a really wonderful experience so far. I’m really motivated to learn more, I feel more confident now that I’m balancing my science background with business management expertise.

I’ve been responsible for developing our company’s sustainability strategy and embedding this at work. We now have a relationship with UN Global Impact and are active members of the GSM Association.

My employer is impressed with the impact I’ve had in the business and wants me to go on to do more.

Why ARU?

This course has had a huge impact on my knowledge and it’s been a great opportunity to interact with people from different backgrounds.

The support from ARU has been incredibly good. My lecturers have been incredibly supportive, the best teachers and module leaders ever.

Jackie Stafford is fantastic, 10 out of 10. She really understands the virtual platform very well and she connects with me as a learner.

Overall, my experience of studying with ARU has been very rewarding.

I’d advise anyone who is in employment to study a work-based online degree at Anglia Ruskin because of its flexibility.
