How to fund your distance learning course

There are a number of ways you can choose to pay for your tuition fees as a distance learner. In fact, there has never been a better or easier way to pay for online learning.

Student Loans


Student Loan from Student Finance England

Student Finance EnglandIf you are eligible, you will be able to study an undergraduate online distance learning course with Anglia Ruskin University without paying anything up front. Instead, the UK government pays your fees and you start repaying the loan after you've finished the course. Your repayments come out of your salary, a bit like tax, and only when you start earning over £21,000 a year. If your income falls below £21,000 for any reason your repayments stop for that period.

Student loan will cover full tuition fees.

Please note, for courses longer than 2 years in length you will receive your loan in years 1 and 2 only. You will receive a maximum of £5,000 in each year. Applications for Postgraduate Loans will open summer 2017.

Instalment Plans

We offer interest-free instalment plans on all courses, undergraduate and postgraduate, delivered by Anglia Ruskin University^. You can choose to pay for your course at the start of each year, in three instalments per year or six instalments per year.

Employer funding

Degrees at WorkMany of our distance learning students are sponsored on their courses by their employer. Your company may well have a scheme to help pay for all or part of your studies.
